2025/26 David Moyes

I
People who never wanted him back in the first place want him sacked it seems, they won't be on here if we win a few, it sickens them if we win a game.
I didn't want him back and I don't want him sacked just now but moving forward we need to move away from safe choices and gamble on finding a manager who has the X Factor such as Eder Sarabia. If Bournemouth can find Iraola there's no reason with good foresight that we can't find a manager to move us forward

That's because we are a disgrace.

Yeah but here's the thing ... Bournemouth can also sell their best players and go out and find players who are even better.
Whereas us well we buy the likes of Beto and Barry.

Nah.

A couple of posters who never wanted him back want him sacked right now

Most just believe we should change in the summer but don't think changing mid season is a good idea

The "won't be on here" I don't think is true. Who disappears when we win? Name names :)

Tony Bellew

They'll have a tough decision to make in the summer. If things are particularly bad then he'll go, if he gets us in Europe he'll stay. More realistic is mid table nothingness which isn't so bad if you're playing entertaining football.

His contract should really have been 18 months (or 6) not 2.5 years.

Moyes tends to get a result when he needs one though (hence lasting 11 years before). That season West Ham won the cup he was a game from the sack multiple times, including el sackico against Lampard and the final itself.
We won't qualify for Europe ,we are too weak and average in too many positions ,we're too slow , we don't do joined up football, and we have no strikers.

I did want him back and he did a great job last season. I really hoped he and we would push on this season but I’m starting to get major doubts, especially with the way he is managing the younger players.

Moyes has been reluctant to rotate so far. Only one side, Crystal Palace, have made fewer subs and Everton are the fourth-latest to turn to their bench. He has also used the fewest players (19) in the league.
One theme this season has been Everton’s inability to perform for 90 minutes. As the oldest side in the league, the approach to substitutions may need a rethink

From a good article in the Athletic;

Surprised by that. Would be intrigued to know more, wonder whether oldest squad by average age across all, or oldest in terms of who has played.

[Edit] assume played. Villa an Fulham have older average age in squad.

Backs up the theory that Moyes doesn't trust young players.
