2025/26 David Moyes

This is another big problem. We had turgid football under Dyche. We now have flair players like Grealish and Dibbling, plus Ndiaye and Rohl who looks like he wants to play on the front foot. Moyes has sucked any joy out of the match with his negative tactics and team selection. The only excitement comes from individual moments of skill like Ndiaye goal tonight that has nothing to do with Moyes management or tactics.

Oh, so only the bad things are to do with the manager? Get in the bin x

“We have to learn to play better for longer.”

I think that means “I need to learn to make adjustments mid game when our periods of dominance end because the opponent has tweaked things to nullify what we are doing.”

If something is working in a game then stops working, pretty sure you should flex into doing something else, rather than putting 8 men across our box and whacking everything in sight.

I thought Moyes did a decent job last year and didn't expect miracles this year really.
He is just sucking the life out of me its like watching a boring crap film over and over again with Everton at the moment
Nothing new tactics wise,
Sits there when the game is drifting away its like he is going through the motions till he is out the door like Dyche.
Wish he would wake up.

Dwight McNeil ffs, how are you looking at the bench and thinking a monoped left footed plopper who wouldn’t have got in Bradford’s reserves less than a few weeks ago was the sub to make at right wing? That sub was negative, it was “premier league experience” over form or ability, it was David Moyes’ MO.
Classy move chucking Barry under the bus in his post match interview as well, crediting Sunderland for getting better while conveniently ignoring the fact he watched on seemingly paralysed to counteract.

He’s destroying players. Confidence is everything in football yet he has players like Alcaraz, Dibling, Beto and Barry who must be bricking themselves whenever they get on the pitch because they’re scared to make a mistake…. Sometimes as a manager you gotta make a decision on a player and stick with it … trust that player for a run of 9 or 10 games with no pressure on them… Moyes isn’t doing that at all, players are playing scared and it’s glaringly obvious to see.

Prediction for next game…

Beto starts
Substitution 60 mins
Beto off Barry on

Rinse and repeat

He has no instinct regarding strikers. The chopping and changing is so stupid. So what if he missed, let him have time to get another opportunity. Beto was non existent, not his fault entirely. All it take is one scrappy moment to get a goal for a striker to get confidence

I'll admit it... This sub baffled me too.

You could tell Barry knew immediately that he'd blown his chance with that miss. He was genuinely playing really well up until that point. Just dreadful man management.
