2025/26 David Moyes

Think it’ll take a sustained winless run for him to be sacked. Lose to Fulham and United and it’s 5 without a win, at which point they’ll surely start thinking about a change.

No offence but that’s just such a simplistic way of looking at things. It’s easy to focus on us missing one properly good chance and pretend that’s the entire issue but we’ve just been absolutely pulverised for an hour by a newly promoted team, barely getting out of our own half, and we haven’t kept a clean sheet in our last 7 games. Our issues are much, much bigger than just not having a 12 goal a season striker.
I’m not saying we weren’t rubbish, also bit unfair to say they’re just a newly promoted side, they’d have gone second if they beat us.

All I’m saying is we can talk a lot about managers, systems, stats, etc. but on a base level if players are making such basic errors then it’s a problem with the player, not the manager. We had a manager today whose plan would’ve gotten a win if the players were remotely near the level.

This season in terms of ability we probably have the outright worst starting CB pairing in the league, and the worst 2 starting strikers in the league, the manger is not the problem.

Not sure how much you can blame a manager for when players are missing tap ins and 2 vs 1s.

At a certain point you have to see a system works if it’s creating chances, the players not converting are the problem. We win that easily 3-1 or 2-1 with PL standard players, manager’s plan worked.
He is the one signing those players...going to a full pl season with beto and barry was always a very bad call

We don’t have to though. JOB could play there with Garner RB and stick Alcaraz at 10 with KDH or Rohl CM.

After a great start Moyes watched us get battered for a good 30/40 minutes and sat on his hands, the predictible barry/beto first sub around 60 isn't changing the game, or any game, we've problems in the squad but he has to come under scrutinity here, there has to be some pressure on him
