We needed the spending to have had blend in mind.

We just look like an easily contained collection of slow paced ball players.

We need pace all over this team.

I don’t know mate, I think it’s far two early to draw conclusions in most of our signings given limited mins and opurtinites.

It’s a fair point we look easily contained, I agree teams have cottoned in to our patterns of play and weaknesses - the manager has a job of work on that score.

We need to invest more for sure, full back and central midfield aren’t PL standard IMO.

It is EXTREMELY weird, to me, that Moyes doesn't think having competent fullbacks is a necessity for pretty much every club. I'd reckon about 40-50% of all of his "success" for Everton was based on having 2 absolutely ballers for fullbacks. What the [Poor language removed] does "it wasn't a priority for us" mean when, literally, the first player we went for was a fullback and then never went back for another one?? I seriously wish ANYONE would just call him out for being pretentious about it.

I don't agree that we played well today. Our build up play is far too slow and predictable. By the time Grealish or Ndiaye get on the ball, there's about three men on them. We need more variety and movement in the team as a whole.

We’ve gone for two tricky (and talented) wingers who stand the full back up in an era of flying wingers that cut in and shoot. With another of the same type on the bench.

Looks like hes fallen into the trap of just looking to play the same side, regardless if it works or not.

We've currently got a very limited left back, with a left back on the bench who is too raw for him to consider

We've currently got a centre half playing right back, when there's a right back on the bench who seems to be there as a token gesture but is currently fit.

A centre half out of form whilst one plays right back

A centre mid who isnt having the best of times (Gueye) but keeps getting selected

A number 10 (KDH) who isnt a 10 but Moyes seems to think he adds goals and links up play. There's no way Alcaraz wouldn't be on at least 1 goal and a couple of assists if given 10 games in the 10 spot.

The less we say about the strikers the better, just alternating them hasn't worked and isnt working.

We've actually fallen into a trap of having to many midfielders ( which should make everyone that bit happier )

But finding the right fit is becoming a downfall..

That's pennies today Joseph. There's plenty to criticize but the transfer spend is relatively nothing in the scheme of premier league spending.

We have spent the second least net spend besides Brighton since 21/22.

It is - but did DM spend it well ? patchy to say the least we look worse now than last season - Branthwaite is a big miss - but our full back & central midfield is a big problem - plus the CF position e.g we need one ... Nydaye would be a quick fix Alacraz as no 10 - Gana dropped - DH alongside Garner - the two big men need a run in the under 23s - lack of confidence ....

DM has to get the balance of his signings correct or we will slip up bad style - the new owners will not be as patient as in the past .....

Each week its rinse & repeat we were very lucky v Palace - papering over the cracks ....

I hope DM has learnt something today - we are so slow in the opposition half .... our build up is so predictable .....

Both no 9s do not inspire me TBH - Nydaye looks a better prospect as a forward down the middle partnered by Alcaraz a natural no 10 ....

The football is crap, the football has been crap for years and this is not much better, maybe having the likes of N'Diaye and Grealish have raised expectations but let's not pretend its good.
