We got the most bipolar fan base ever we have a good game and we’re world beaters we have a bad game and it’s suicide watch again.

Why do folks on here expect us to win every match especially after the last few years and what we witnessed.

Madness

That game was very winnable though and Moyes decided to have one past it RB at LB, our RB is really a central defender, McNeil and Tim were players in a team that was flirting with relegation until Moyes came in and a goalkeeper who has been shaky everytime he has played for us.

That's why everyone is down.

If he put out a decent team and we lose, you can accept it. We are at this point a running joke regarding our trophy drought and we've lost our best chance this season to change that.

it’s pot luck who we get tho it’s not given

Upset with the last couple of games, but I still trust Moyes.
Just got to look forward to the next game as usual (after a loss, draw or win), its the life of an Evertonian.
Looking on this site it may be too soon to try & be positive!

I didn't say we would win it, but we've lost our best chance to win something as clubs take the FA cup more seriously.
Ironically, I think k the League Cup is harder. Or just as hard, at least.

The last 10 years it’s been won by Chelsea (1), Man City (5), Man Utd (2), Liverpool (2) and Saudi-backed Newcastle (1).

The idea of the League Cup being easier goes back to that brief period when the top teams were using it almost as a reserved tournament.

It is precisely because I don’t expect us to win every match that the lineup annoyed me.

Away to Wolves (who despite their troubles are still a premier league team) we started a weaker team than we did at home to Mansfield which was Travers in goal, with a defense of Coleman, Mykolenko, Tarkowski, and Keane. In midfield, Garner, Armstrong, and Alcaraz featured, while the attack consisted of McNeil, Grealish, and Barry.

Moyes had changed personnel in virtually every area of the pitch for this match so it seems odd to think that we’d have any fluidity or understanding between players.

If Moyes had started with say only 3 changes from the team that beat Wolves a few weeks ago and we’d still lost I don’t think you’d see anywhere near the same comments, certainly not from me. Or if the changes were forced by injuries, likewise. But Moyes himself said there was “no real reason” for the changes.

It's diminishing the chance to win last night's match with his team selection that riles me.

Didn’t they make more changes than us? They got a result.
Their first string is worse than ours, but their second string is closer to their first string. Generally more average across the board

There's a gulf between our starting XI and second XI. We make less changes and we win that comfortably, with some much needed confidence given to a few bench players and some healthy competition borne from it

I'd have started Grealish and maybe Beto. Perhaps give Aznou a run out.

McNeill and Seamus on the same side was an odd decision. Cant defend or attack either on or off the ball with those two

Good post, it's almost as if he didn't really want to win the game.

Yep the logical thing was to play Coleman on the right and Anzou or Myklenko on left.
