2025/26 David Moyes

I never said anything about sacking him and don't expect him to be sacked, but we have proper owners now who will want a return on their investment and they won't put up these types of games if we see a few more of them. You and the rest of his fan club just need to get over it.

ok go and read some posts mate of others saying sack him.

proper mental we go out a cup and heads fall off

It really is. I tutted and turned the telly off.

Then remembered, after sulking for about three minutes, that my self worth isn’t dependent on Everton. And then disappointing bastards can’t make me mourn a trophy they’ve never won.
It definitely isn’t but I wouldn’t have spent the price of a house on them over my lifetime if they didn’t occasionally impact my mood .

Brighton made me happy , yesterday has annoyed me . That’s the way of it .

Even with a weaker side fielded we still should of easily dispatched a team that is bottom of the table, even when this season's attacking starters were brought on , other than a couple exceptions everyone was pretty underwhelming. We just seemed flat overall

No surprise you’re here making excuses.

I'm hoping after his words last week Kinnear takes Moyes to task over that ****show last night.

We need to start being hard nosed as a club. This should be his first warning.

I also hope to god they have a list of younger potential candidates compatible with our playing squad if one becomes available in the summer.

I'm not advocating Moyes out yet. But the club needs to be more ruthless to drive standards up.

His own worst enemy.

He has us playing some great football. We've got a handy little side here and for me, hes helped stabilise the fanbase.

I wont warm to him until he lifts us a pot, but its nice to not be looking at the relegation spots and be excited to go the game.

But that first half on Saturday was quintessential Moyes. We are better than that and we just couldn't get going.

But lots of positives and onto tomorrow.

Posted this after the Derby, and the same applies.

There is absolutely zero reason for Moyes to do what he did last night.

Change 3 players, why not? But to play Coleman at left back, when we had two left backs on the bench? Coleman shouldn't be getting anything other than token minutes any more and he gave him 80.

McNeil looked like hed spent the summer stuck in Cement, he was so far off it, yet never came off?

Allowed a team low on confidence, ti grow their confidence and control the game.

I wouldn't mind, but whats the plan for the season? Win the FA Cup? Cause were not winning the League, and hes not prioritising Trophies?

Plod along and hope for 11th? We're not playing until Monday and he had the arrogance/caution to rest 7 players.

There was a moment in the Kinnear interview with TTV where he made a point about Moyes moaning to the media and how 'he might have done it differently' and then later talking about the volume of players rejected by Moyes. It was framed as high standards but I felt the inference was on the difficulty of Moyes' approach to recruitment.

I think we might shake hands and move on at the end of his contract.

Let's hope that Kinnear isn't acting like too much of a filter between Moyes and the owners.

I suppose it's all about what ceiling the owners set for this club: a competitive one pushing for domestic cups and Euro qualification or a club they want kept safe so they can get the facility maximising profits and which can entice other owners a few years down the line to purchase their shares.

I'd imagine he'll do enough to secure a mid table finish in a very moribund PL. Think once the new stadium glitz wears off that won't be enough for fans get fleeced in HD the natives will get somewhat restless.

As long as we have a succession plan I'm cool with moving on this summer.

I have only seen 2 people saying that, if that's enough to get your back up then maybe you need to take a chill pill or just put those people on ignore for a bit. I freely admit I'm not Moyes biggest fan but when it comes to changing managers that's a summer thing for me, you should only do it mid season if the team is in real trouble which we are not. People are entitled too their opinion don't forget, there is a bit of a culture on here of forcing people to like the manager/certain players which is weird imo. Just scroll past those posts mate.
