2025/26 David Moyes

Not going to criticise the manager here. Some of the players here tonight we've spent good money on in summer, attitude and performance needs to be there and it needs to be a squad. Wolves made more changes than us and won, would expect even a squad with a few of our fringe players in to be beating a squad at the bottom of the table without a win.

Seriously disappointed with the attitude and ability of the players, Alcaraz, McNeil and Barry particularly.

Your not wrong about the words "creating standards"
I've always been pro Moyes and tried to defend him but he just broke one of the key rules for me. Its unacceptable to pick a team like that and go out of a competition. I know it sounds drastic but I honestly think he should be sacked. I said exactly the same about Silva as well.

Moyes basically said in the Mansfield programme notes that the League was by far the priority and the Friedkins have probably made that clear. He made too many changes tonight but to give yourself good chances in cups, you need to be able to build a good squad and that doesn’t happen without finishing high up in the League.

You might get a lucky run but sooner or later, you’ll more than likely come up against a top team or two and without a good squad, you’re not going to win it.

Yeah I mean I’m all for Moyes, and no he/we didn’t do great this evening but some perspective should be retained.

We need to get out of the habit as a fanbase to not go full on ‘Holy Armageddon is coming’ after a cup exit.

Can see what you're trying to say but for me, every cup exit should be seen as a travesty.

None more so than ones that are self imposed.

1995.

No-one is getting sacked due to a Carabao Cup game. Moyes is under zero pressure at the moment.
