The subs made zero difference for the 25 minutes after he'd made the changes. We were headed to a defeat only for a yellow card that got the crowd involved. As was said after the match by everyone: it was a Phil Neville reducer on Ronaldo type of moment that turned it for us.
Anyone arguing that a limited manager like Moyes outwitted Glasner is off the charts crackers.
You can argue that a few things turned that game. To just focus on one is very blinkered.
I have already commented on the things that changed that game. In relation to the changes. I thought that they made us a bit more solid, there were less chances for Palace than the 1st half, so improvement. They were a confident team, at that point and were always still going to be dangerous, especially on the break against us who were pushing forward a bit more.
As said, there were improvements, more so attacking then defence but both areas improved in the 2nd half. Then the crowd got involved and pushed us that little bit further.
I think that to completely ignore the effect a manager can have at half time and on the sidelines is just ridiculous.
There is room to have a bit of common sense and say, you know what I don't like the guy but there were things he did right.
That last line is why nobody takes you seriously, especially on the subject of Everton managers past and present. Nobody has said that he 'outwitted' Glasner, I have not seen one post even mention anything about the Palace manager. They have said that the changes he made put us in a better position to win the game.
