2025/26 David Moyes

Surely you are not suggesting that figures are manipulated to suit an agenda !
We were told in here yesterday or the day before that Martinez took us from 5th place and our highest ever points total to 11th because he wasn’t backed after the first season.

When pointed out that Martinez’ 2nd and 3rd seasons were our highest ever net spends at the time and his 3 seasons were 1st, 2nd and 4th for expenditure on players (when not considering net spend), there was no response.

Manipulate figures and ignore facts.

Moyes must be doing a great job when people are fuming we lost to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

They took their chances, we didn't. We'll need to take them against Arsenal to get anything.
If there is a fume, it's more to do with his stubborn insistence on returning the disgraced Gueye to the side at the first opportunity (necessitating the possible repositioning of our best player this season) and changing a winning team. Apart from that, I think our lack of conviction up front is the bigger frustration. As you say, that was the determining factor yesterday.

Losing at Chelsea is no disgrace - but this is not Abramovich-era Chelsea. Some of us are disappointed we didn't give ourselves the best chance of getting something from the game - with the selection and with the finishing. So, it's a collective failure that, hopefully, will demand a response from all involved. I think it's a good sign we are disappointed. Let's hope those involved are and demand a response that at least leads to a serious performance against Arsenal, whatever the eventual outcome.

I see you struggle to read and comprehend . Fair play for making the effort though. It's admirable.again I think you should focus on the results and formations selected.
Well agin I think you should focus on the formations and results.
Utd game won despite Moyes picking the wrong team to start.
Bournemouth, Forest results achieved by having Alcaraz and KDH on the pitch together, yet no, when it comes down to it, its damage limitation with Moyes and not the school of science.

But keep defending him and you’ll always get what you’ve always had.

Gana was always going to play. He's off to the Afcon now and we have a compact Christmas schedule coming up so was a chance to keep the likes of Charly a bit fresher as he'll play a lot of games over the next few weeks. I would have done the same.

I definitely wouldn't. Opinions. But one thing is for sure: his performance did not justify his manager's choice. And I think it tells the likes of Charly that he's not really trusted. So, for me, the manager didn't cover himself in glory yesterday. Hopefully we get a performance next Saturday.

We were always going to have a high net this year unless we sold Branthwaite or Ndiaye. Both of which would not have been a good start for the owners. It's the first summer we have been able to spend in a few years and we needed to spend given the squad was extremely thin. It's a piss poor argument and as I said most clubs are now spending around 100m, even promoted teams.

That's the thing. He's basically been told he's not trusted in big games.

Other clubs didn't start off with the England GK; the best CD partnership in the PL outside Arsenal's two from last season; one of the best attacking talents in the PL in Ndiaye.

If we can get 6 points out the next 3 games it will put us on 30 at the halfway mark. That’s tracking for European qualification. Arsenal will be difficult so really need to win the last two if possible.

65pts got 7th place and Europe last season. I still think the FA Cup offers us the best chance of Europe as I dont see us getting 60+ points with our lack of goal threat/attacking options
