2025/26 David Moyes

Chelsea can be praised for finishing their few chances whereas we didn’t. But I think it’s fair to criticise the manager for setting us up differently than what was winning games for us. It tells me he couldn’t wait to go back to the old set up with Gana and these last few games pained him to the max to have to do it and was way out of his comfort zone. Keeping the lineup today that’s been winning would demonstrate adaptability. Reverting showed comfortability.

I don`t agree Joey.

They were primed to hit us on the break at pace, which they did and we desperately lack any cutting edge up front.

We`re either going to score from a set piece or one of KDH, Ndyiae or Grealish.

We need a striker, it`s as simple as that.
DM played a slower midfield today & I admit losing DH was a big loss - but Gana was poor - the defence is slow two clear beak away goals at pace & our players could not track back - they have been on a poor run lately too - you don't change a winning team IMO....

Gana didn`t look like he was playing full throttle today, maybe with one eye on not getting injured for the AFCON.

He was guilty of losing his marker for both goals.

If I`m going to criticise Moyes for anything, he should`ve identified this and hooked him.

He got it wrong tactically by leaving us vulnerable to counter attacks way too often. The full backs then made individual errors which doesn't help.

Equally if we score any of those chances at any point, it can easily be a different game.

He got some things wrong with the set up but the forwards let him down quite a bit too.

Honestly, you'd have to be asleep for all 12 years he's been in charge not to anticipate today that Moyes would just go back to cramming as many senior players he relies on back in the team.

It's virtually the feller's signature managerial move.
Yep - completely predictable as is the failure to even make any progressive changes at half time or early in the second half. If you try everything you can and still lose, fair enough.

I think he should be rightfully criticized for changing a winning team and bringing back a player right away that was suspended for hitting his own player when he is set to leave for several games. I don't want him sacked I think he should be scrutinized for not starting alcarez as ten as well, his substitutions were way too late once again
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
