2025/26 David Moyes

I don't know what the terms of any future deal might settle on, but I wouldn't say his overall form has brought us to the table desperate to do a deal. Don't get me wrong, I'd love him to stay. But there's a touch of the Big Dunc about him right now: a talisman, occasionally brilliant, but very often a little AWOL.

He's seen his flame extinguished recently. Holding onto the ball too long, ignoring runners and bar 1 or 2 things a game has been an enigma.

If Alcaraz does the same hes dropped. Dibling barely gets on the pitch.

Hopefully by season end someone has pushed him all the way.

Great response mate
With the previous comment about a player not getting injured if he was playing 15 yards deeper shows you have the brain capacity of a head of cabbage.

Thats called the butterfly effect.

So hes not wrong.

"I thought we played well today"

This isn't wise. "we dropped a couple of runners"

"no problems with the players today, I thought we done well"

expecting 1-1 before end of first half. This post matcher will go down... well*.

Throwing Gana in for extra defensive cover and pushing KDH out of the position in which he’d excelled for weeks, against a team missing their (and one of the PL’s) best DMs felt like the writing on the wall, to me.

As many have already said: I can still see wisdom in seeing out the season, barring catastrophe, but please don’t drag this out beyond the summer. No ownership with a fraction of the ambition that this lot purport to have go into 2026/27 with David Moyes as manager.

Ah we lost a game, I see the “sack everyone” shouts are out.
I think he should be rightfully criticized for changing a winning team and bringing back a player right away that was suspended for hitting his own player when he is set to leave for several games. I don't want him sacked I think he should be scrutinized for not starting alcarez as ten as well, his substitutions were way too late once again

It's a bit naughty suggesting we did well to make so many chances, when they could have put a record on against us. Barry White, some subtle lighting and let the love flow...
People need to chill. We were sooooooo close to 777 and therefore total oblivion and non-existence twelve months ago.

We are now safe and secure.

Lighten up people. Please. Pretty please.

Just take a step back and look at things in perspective.

That’s fair enough.

I just can’t stand the fact that most people have no inbetween setting.

It’s either best-in-the-world or sack-now and it’s tiresome.

'result disappointing, performance not, KDH obviously also bad for us'

Knew he'd say that. Tbh it never really felt like we troubled Chelsea apart from that spell towards the end of the first half. The type of day we could have played for another 90 minutes and not bothered the scoreboard. There was just something inevitable about it all.

I think that's a sensible take , Its easy to get lost in the moment and I'm not going to lie during our slump earlier this season my patience was wearing thin just due to his rigidness , but ultimately the correct approach is like you mentioned try to step back and look at the overall picture. Which he is doing well even though he frustrates me to the fullest at times.
