2025/26 David Moyes

I've not been on here for about 2 months. Probably because last time I was on here I had a bit of a mental health crisis, and had my first drink binge in many a year (i'm a long term recovering alcoholic). I decided to call it it quits, because even one or two poorly worded drunken posts can quickly make you look a knob. However, I reckon I could knock back 2 litres of vodka and still not post anything even half as embarrassing some of the half baked drivel that has been posted since that game last night.
Hope you are doing well mate x

Hall is their LB, Tripper their 2nd choice RB

Lame excuse for what? It's one of many reasons we lost
Livramento tormented us yesterday tbf

Livramento has played leftback more times this season for Newcastle than hall.

The site i work on is full of season ticket holders of Geordies. I will let them know they only won because Hall and Livaremento played together again.

Hall was injured more too, might that be the reason ffs?

I also said their FBs being fit is one of many reasons they beat us but sure, tell them some random said the only reason if you want to be a knob that deliberately misconstrues what's said, and needs something to say in work

Not that I care what you and your Geordie buddies yap about tbh

Nothing on the bench?

Aznou, Alcaraz & Dibling are 3 of his signings.
Imo was nothing on the bench yesterday to change that game, that is not to give moyes a pass becuase he was part of the recruitment. The team was loosing the midfield battle yesterday not one of them players fixes that.

LOL what a flap.

Non matchfit players for the first time play together in about six months are the reasons we lost.

Talk about clutching at straws.

I'm doing okay mate. I should probbly apologise to @bicycleheader and @Lanolin for a few posts that probably seemed erratic and out of character, but it is what is. I don't believe I was disreprectful in a way that went beyond what we disagreed on, but it was probably a nightmare trying to have a reasonable conversation with me at that point.

Anyway, I'm alright with where the blues are at the moment. We're an improcing side, though still some way off being a top side.

No. we lost because they performed better than us. It's a regular occurence when evenly matched teams play each other. It's why Real Madrid consistently get knocked out of the CL even though they've won it 13 times. Fine margins.

Wow.

The team who has won the most Champions Leagur titles also consistently gets knocked out?

How does a team who has never won it get on?

How many times have palace and Bournemouth finshed above us in 30yrs? Yes we’ve had a few tough years, but we haven’t been in the doldrums for 30yrs. We were in Europe only a handful of years ago. You can play us down as a club, crack on but I won’t. We got Koeman to
Leave 6th placed Southampton to join 11th placed Everton. We’re much bigger than Bournemouth and place and that’s a fact. And Glanser and Irola will both know it. That’s not to say they will join

Also spurs won their first trophy in years last season. And even without champions league football, Frank would leave Brentford for spurs every day of the week
That's my point: Frank would leave Brentford for Spurs because its obviously a very big step up. Swapping modern day Bournemouth or Palace or Brighton for modern day Everton (4 interchangeable mid table sides at best) really is not, no matter how much people want to believe modern day players and managers care who did what 40 years ago.

I'm not playing us down as a club, just living in reality and accepting that highly regarded managers (just like top players) aren't exactly queueing up to come to a club that has won nothing for three decades, spent years either circling the drain and has never really done anything or being anything of note in the Prem era beyond making up the numbers IF they have the opportunity to join a club that sits at the top table - not unless we throw a big bag of cash at them (which is exactly how we got the likes of Koeman and Carlo). I'd be delighted to be proved wrong in the summer.

Err, the Cl/European cup has been taking place for 70 years now, they've won it 13 times, and been knocked out how many times? Do the maths, they're more often knocked out than they they're not.

Not at all mate, nothing I say on here is ever meant to be taken personally and I wouldn’t take it that way from others. Wouldn’t be much of a forum if we all had the same opinions so debating them is all good fun!
