2025/26 David Moyes

We don’t ‘owe’ them anything, they’ve bought an asset that’s all. They’ll be given time because what else can you do anyway, but please let’s not get into the ridiculous realms of making out like we have to be grateful to them for choosing us to be the people they want to make money out of.
Have you somehow forgotten where we were before they came in. Maybe look at Sheffield Wednesday as an example, and they didn't have a new stadium to account for.

You still have a club mate..

Some people just refuse to be happy.

And where are we now? We have a lower mid table squad and are roughly were we should be. The key will be taking advantage into the winter stretch when the European clubs start to tire.

What a weird response. I’m not refusing to be happy, I’m just saying we don’t ‘owe’ them for buying us. They didn’t do it out of the goodness of of their heart, they did it because they thought it was a good business opportunity. You do understand that dont you?!

Exactly. And we need to show patience as we try to rebuild from a difficult situation, not just fling vitriol at every little setback.
Your the one that's been questioning the owners, the same owners that brought Moyes back, and now your saying patience..

You've lost me mate, you can't be unhappy and say patience at the same time..

Partially, though it is starting to fade away now, after reading never-ending negativity..

If you are already questioning the people that pulled us out of the fire.

Than maybe there is no hope for happiness with you.
Do you think you could try using it then? Again, I haven’t said anywhere that I’m negative about the owners or unhappy with anything, this is all an argument you’re having with yourself. All I’m saying is we don’t owe the friedkins anything for buying us. It’s not an act of charity, they didn’t heroically save the club, they’ve just bought an asset at a price they were happy with and a time that suited them (having put us as fans through the wringer to get a better deal for themselves, lest we forget). There’s absolutely no issue with that, I’m - still - not complaining, but I absolutely don’t owe them anything for doing it.

Of course you can. It’s a new group of players and they are trying to gel together and get their understanding down.

Players are human and make mistakes. So are coaches. You need to give them time to develop. There were some very good signs in the first half at Sunderland, but also some horrendous stuff in the second.

We just need to move on, learn from what we did wrong and try to apply the lessons in the next match.

Well let's leave this where it is than, save a silly debate ending in a way we dont it to.

I'll make it simple than.

I owe them time and gratitude for saving my club.

And you're right, its your decision. you don't owe them anything.

Right, my head is going round in circles at the mo.

This whole conversation started with you questioning the approach of our owners, and how they are taking Roma backwards.

And somehow now we are talking about the Sunderland game.

Do you get why I'm suddenly lost on this conversation !

Maybe we just both lost our way in this conversation.

Forget the ownership part, I can't be debating that anymore, if you dont like them than thats fully your choice.

We both want to achieve on the pitch
So let's leave the last part in agreement.
