2025/26 David Moyes

I don't think he will be given that long. If performance are bad the next few weeks he will be given the chop.
If Moyes is saying he needs more players, the reverse of that 'could' be construed...if you wanted to, to mean he can do no more with what he's got...
(He can't even go back to last seasons Plan A, because 3 or 4 of the players are no longer here)

...This is essentially what got Dyche the sack (sacked himself ?)

Who he had the power to keep on but didn't.
Im not totally sure he does have that power...if he ever did...and that maybe part of the problem

And the pre-season was a disaster because he made it so. He's not fit to be the manager of this club. He underlined that again at Leeds when

he played Garner at LB when we've just bought one.
or somebody else bought Aznou - and Moyes took a look and didnt rate him.

Is he getting the...'you're the coach on big money - so coach him so he can play'

meet the new Boss(es) - Same as the old Boss(es) ??
He wrecked the whole shape of the team to make *a point*.

He's pathetic.

There's no excuses for Moyes here.

He agreed to this hierarchy on taking the job.

I said it months ago that we'll be looking for a new manager by November. Last season, the only thing that mattered was survival. Moyes, to his credit, secured that within a month - just as Big Sam did in 2017. However, when the panic abates, owners want something more progressive and forward-looking. Managers are no longer prized for fire fighting, but are judged on ability to attract talent (glamour) and image (do they represent what the owners see in themselves and their "asset"?). Vanity. Moyes, for all his many attributes, is a stubborn old-school pragmatist. These are attributes in the right circumstances - like last season when fighting for our lives. They become obstacles in a calmer environment where possibilities expand and limits are less onerous as the spectre of relegation recedes.

I was suprised they had no "glamour" manager to come in and continue the job. I didn't see the status quo as a pragmatic choice from them (where they believed in Moyes as their man for the big job ahead). I saw it as evidence of lack of a plan. Since then, nothing they've done since has convinced me they are anything other than unprepared for the football side of the club.

It's quite clear that the cracks are now showing as Moyes pulls one way and the "competent professionals" pull the other way. There will be collateral damage to both sides along the way, but in the end the owners always win and we'll be plunged into mid-season instability as winter approaches rather than having an executable plan last May. See? Unprepared again...
Here’s something progressive and forward looking - if you get rid of half a squad in a summer try signing some players.

He's a little bit above dyche, and Mondays embarrassing show proved it, he didn't gave a clue what to do to change the game tactically, I don't blame garner but why did moyes think it was a good move to play garner at left back, why didn't he go 3 at the back 2 wing backs mac neil on the left garner back in the middle. Moyes will keep us out of trouble but is that's it, we need a younger progressive manager.

There's obviously friction between Moyes and Kinnear/Hammond.

Moyes outburst in the states - which a fair few lauded would have gone down like a lead bloom with TFG, one thing can be said for certain about them is they are very corporate and professional in the way the deal with stuff, having an employee going off to the press slating the way we are doing things will not have sat well with them.
It's noticeable since then he has definitely wound down any vocal criticism, likely he's been told not to repeat that by TFG.

Kinnear is a corporate guy, not a football guy, as such I think Moyes has been overly meddling - I'd bet anything Thelwell going was influenced by Moyes and Purdy going seems fishy also, throw in the bloke coming from city is Moyes friend - likely Kinnear has leaned on Moyes a fair bit on footy related things.

The worst two performances this season have been west ham v Sunderland and us the other day, both with dysfunctional midfields, west hams is pretty much the one he built.

I'm leaning into last season's second half was a Moyes bounce, setting up and players being relieved they could play a bit more, along with having a fully healthy side almost but especially at the back.

Moyes is a 62yo manager in a game which has evolved hugely and managers are getting younger and younger, reckon he's gonna be lucky to last till November now

Also very noticeable that both the i and the telegraph hammered Moyes in articles on Tuesday centring on how he set the team u. Athletic doing Everton top of the panic o metre table today.

Pretty sure Moyes ain't got the layer of protection in the media or in the boardroom he enjoyed last time here, new stadium means he can't fall back on his old club trying to punch above it's weight idea either.

We are around ten days away from TFG wanting an explanation for what went wrong this summer. Question is are they gonna listen to Kinnear or to Moyes who already acted in a outburst way. My bet would be they are t backing any manager over corporate hires.

When Leeds brought on all their subs they could go back to charging around and pressing. We didn’t have that luxury.

What’s professional about going into a season with half a squad?

Which '3 or 4' players are you referring to mate that were key to our form in the run-in that are 'no longer' at the club?
