2025/26 David Moyes

Not being able to reboot after they equalised after Sunderland had their little 5 minutes of domination was appalling.

Ok, you can suffer a goal conceded like that early in the second half. But Moyes just wanted a point after that, and THAT is unforgivable.

He did his little mental calculation and thought "yeah, a draw up here when they've been going ok is more than enough. Let's just bottle it up and get 6-7 behind the ball".
Thought the same myself. Looked like he’d take the point. Subs far too late and also bizarre with McNeil coming on

Ball out wide to Grealish or hoping Ndiaye's mazy brilliance hands us a goal, and that's all we've got.

It's not working. It cant work at this level. Moyes is a dinosaur and needs punting. I cant see it until the summer though, more's the pity.

We have some attacking talent here and a lot of mf aggression, but he's pissing it up against a wall.

Midfield three of Rohl Iroegbunam Alcaraz would put it about physically.

I’d even be tempted to run Dibling as a striker rather than keep relying on these two. He’d have a better touch and shot than either of them and at least give us a threat on the counter.

it was a bad as anything we have seen over the last few years.. but there isnt anyone to replace him...

If we had anything about us we would put our huge balls on the table and go and get Glasner.

Sadly, this is Everton. We will settle for mediocrity for 2 years, Moyes will see out his contract and we will then begin our new era with Steve Bruce, to complete the Pokédex of footballing dinosaurs.

I’ve always bought in to the basic principle that if you are playing well, you stay in the team.

If your form drops, you are benched. (Tarkowski, Mykolenko, Gana, KDH)

Every pro buys into that too.

How must those players on the bench feel, seeing so many stink the gaff out week after week & yet they stay in the team.

It’s really poor management.
Yep, but Moyes has always had his favourites. Phil Neville springs to mind at the end of his career when he was stinking the place out but always in the eleven.

The pieces are there to change the shape of this team.

But Moyes looks at it and he just sees danger in change.

He'll point to how well Sunderland have been playing of late and call that a good point.

Anyone looking at Sunderland tonight KNOWS he let them off the hook.

Of course he will, so will certain people in the press and so will some Evertonians as well.

Last year it was Forest with the “good side” “on a good run” routine , this year it could be Sunderland, who will it be next year? Coventry?

Moyes did amazing last season I don't think anyone can call him out but this season he's not the same Moyes. Too many worrying factors. We can see them easily, the players that came in that are not being played and those that are not being played like Alcaraz. I don't recognise this Moyes TBH.

If it wasn't for the fact he was Moyes, I'd be absolutely calling for his head.
Think it's the opposite mate.
This season he's exactly 'the same Moyes'.
Last year was the exception, not this.
