Moyes is very much a comfort pick manager. You would have to build the team for him and take away all of his toys to make him successful. I don't think he is strategically bad. I just don't think his squad building and selections are good.

As said yesterday about his programme notes. He made it plain that he thought that Spurs were a cut above us:

Needs to stop seeing the no.10 as a primarily defensive position.

Get Dibling or Alcaraz in there and let the opposition worry about us rather than playing KDH in order to close their back line down and press.

This being the justification for not starting Charly at the 10 both last season and this has always been confusing to me, given that even on his worst day, Charly is an equally good defender to both Docoure and KDH, and on most days when he plays centrally he's far more active than either of the other two are/were.

He’s got the same mentality as Dyche in a lot of ways. Way too worried about how to stop the opposition than he is about how we can cause them problems. Garner needs moving to right back, Rohl in midfield and Aznou a game at left back. He can’t possibly be any worse than Mykolenko but at least has the possibility to improve. Moyes won’t do that against Sunderland because they’re in form and he’ll be there in busy days planning how to defend and keep things tight, just like he did against Leeds.

As I said about last year a million times. The second we removed Doucore, brought in Charly and McNeil we were creating chances and scoring goals. You put creative players in creative positions and they will create chances. Charly has proven himself as the only player that can consistently create. It is madness that he isn't starting. That is on Moyes. KDH just hasn't shown he can do it and I don't think he ever will.
