2025/26 David Moyes

You know whats better than being stable, being successful.

You know whats better than finishing 10th finishing 5/6th
Winning a trophy is what our aim should be every single season regardless of the situation

When people say this stability thing it actually means im happy where we are.
Weve had stability for about 23 years of the last 30 years since we last won a trophy and about 7 years in the sh1t being uncomfortable and fearing relegation.

Stability is not what we should aspire to as Everton football club, im sorry but this mindset has to change.
Although some of the posters questioning what people class as Stability are the same people that voted against a Conference league cup, Answer that one 🤷‍♂️

Stability can be looked at in different ways, thinking you're to big for a trophy after years of complaining about the lack of a trophy 🤷‍♂️

I don't understand what people mean by stability and I want us to win everything (except maybe the community shield, who cares about that). I want to finish as high up the table as possible and to win every cup. I'm pretty sure the only "stability" in that scenario is being Bayern Munich.

Sorry mate ive seen this many times posted by people, what are we waiting for?

So only when we finish 10th then 10th again and then maybe 9th we should go for it? We've established 'stability' then what?
It makes zero sense to me,

Meanwhile fans are forking out more than ever to follow this club.

Stability OFF the pitch too..

Until we can get ourself functioning properly and regularly, then we need to take less risks ON the pitch.

Cant be jacking managers left right and centre while we are still fixing off the field issues.

Stability is exactly what we (Moyes) has achieved this season, no threat of relegation all season.
I dont get why another season like this would be beneficial to us because at some point you are going to have to try and make the jump to be successful, so whether its this season or next the element of risk will still be there.

I personally dont want us in the conference league cup because i dont value it at all, (Think its a pure diluted bog standard comp) plus i think it would have a negative effect on next seasons league campaign. I also don't think the conference league has zero pulling power for future signings

For me i will always value the domestic trophies first.
League, FA cup, League cup.

First part is definitely not true - it was THE goal for the entirety of the season and is likely THE goal for next with Moyes.

For now doesn't work that way as these are multiyear projects at this point - what is Moyes setting us up for currently? Spending 100m+ more on players he won't play? You have to have an eye on the future as well as the now, and with Moyes we don't get the future part.

It has been dreadful recently though. This year has realistically been crap as well - the possibility and chance to advance and do better quicker was there, but we didn't have the man in charge to actually try and do that; instead we're at more or less the same spot as last year.

Because of that man in charge....why are none of you even giving him any credit for that !?!

Madness how some of you will not assign any of the good stuff to DM.

To be even in with a chance was good....but nothing to do with DM !

And I suppose i'm now a Moyes lover, and have no ambition....

Course you don't....because Moyes won it.

The footballing world is not going to stand still whilst little Old Everton get their act together having a few more seasons of middling stability and then decide now where going for it.

The same people crying for stability now will the the ones crying when next summer Illy, Garner, KDH, and Branthwaite are all banging on the CEO's door requesting moves as they want to play for teams actually looking to compete for trophies/europe.

There's not a business model in the world where the objective is just to stand still and watch all your competitors fly by you, because we might be a little scared of changing the fella in charge.

Well you might not be rewriting what has happened this season but you are certainly cherry picking the highlights😂 Good away record? true. No mention of our home record though...abysmal, in our beautiful new stadium no less. Competative in every game? Those home games against lowly Spurs, Newcastle and then Brentford beg to differ. Grealish ( who I like by the way) was no way near as productive after the first 10 games or so..."we actually attack?".. I mean I would effin hope so...it is a fundemental premise of the sport:) Finally, " RS marginally beat us" (x2) should not be used as an accolade...and sadly it speaks to the inferiority complex that seems to surround our club at the moment. Wonder where that comes from?:)
Our home form even at Goodison has been poor for the last 6 years and it’s not much better since Moyes1 last season in 2012-13.

In the last 6 seasons we have averaged 7 home wins per season(best 9 and lowest 5!).

In last 12 seasons we have averaged 8.4 home wins per season.

Martinez,Koeman,Silva,Ancellotti,Allardyce,Benitez,Lampard,Dyche and Moyes2 have all had a home win problem.

Regardless of who manages the club we need to get back to winning ways at home on a regular basis rather than one-off seasons once or twice every 10 years.

Arent we financially in the best position weve been for years?

We are in no threat of breaking any spenditure rules
We have sealed some good commercial deals

I think we are in the right place now to go for it with a lot of upcoming good managers available and us becoming more attractable for a long time.
Personally think we would be stupid to let this opportunity pass

There is always an element of risk no matter what.

I think the decision on Moyes in the next month will tell us exactly what the owners are here for.

Most teams aren’t successful by the gauge. It’s pretty obvious that we need to basically raise the standards but also do it in a sustainable way. To do that we need to build the team in a measured way that doesn’t break the bank.

Stability to me is not looking over my shoulder. I'm not looking over my shoulder ( other than a peep at spurs )
