Or the owners have no appetite for success.
Both probably.
Or the owners have no appetite for success.
First things first - a new manager.Yep...100 millions is nothing nowadays...expecting the promoted club to spend that and more in the coming season. We need a big investment this summer...we added squad depth last summer, now this summer we need to add quality...
Where are they in the league?Palace had more chances.
Palace should of had a pen.
Glasner has won more in a couple of years than Moyes ever will.
Well the club was a relegation away from the abyss with a clueless buffoon running things who was trying to sell us to 777. The very survival of the club was on the lineProgress on what? Our lowest ebb with a mountain of mitigating circumstances?
I didnt want Moyes back because I knew he'd be here for years and long term - that'll be massively counterproductive.
What other team in the league would take him this season?
Or better yet what other team would employ a manager who'd been there over a decade without winning anything for a rebuild?
We had a chance last summer to really put a bolt of energy through the club but we looked backwards.
No. Now he'll tell us how good we've been and make us all feel like we are a nothing club and that the gap from bottom to Europe cannot be bridged quickly despite the fact other clubs manage it.Moyes was talking up Europe all summer, if he doesn’t deliver it, by his own expectations, the season has been a failure.
The results have been. The performances have been mostly below average all season. It’s actually been pretty impressive how consistent that piece has been. We do the same things basically every week.We have been tediously inconsistent.
Not won more than two successive games all season.
It might take time to come together but it doesn’t need to take time to start making the right decisions and trying to do it.Well the club was a relegation away from the abyss with a clueless buffoon running things who was trying to sell us to 777. The very survival of the club was on the line
Now we’re comfortably mid table with new owners, a new ground, and a actual chance of doing something in the future if we make the right decisions
This was always going to take time
There was never going to be an immediate turnaround
We’ve actually done better this season than I initially thought we would
I predicted 3-5 years for a complete turnaround when The Friedkin’s came in
It is what it is. It’ll take time and there’ll be down points like this along the way
But compared to how things were at the end of the 2022/23 season, I’d say there’s been considerable improvement three years later
