2025/26 David Moyes

It does if it's the difference between a win and a draw/loss. For me personally I think u could point out multiple occasions this season including today where Moyes has lacked the killer instinct to deliver a result and that adds up over the course of a season. It's what stops him from ever getting beyond the level he's been at his whole career.

Obviously a good squad is always required to truly compete but then the question becomes - if we spend loads of money and get a load of quality players who would you rather have in the drivers seat? We will have missed our chance now with Iraola but I would bet on him ending up at a club where he has access to better players and really achieve meaningful things in his career. Moyes I just don't think will ever be able to get out of his own way.

I just think if you give this squad to anyone else it's very likely we finish in a similar situation at best. When we've got a better squad and the manager is underperforming then a change is necessary. I just don't see it right now.

I’m actually still raging that he allowed THIS Liverpool team just to stroll into our new stadium, play like utter tripe, and still score two goals from two absolutely washed up has beens that the rest of the league have been taking the piss out of on a weekly basis. They played their third choice keeper and Moyes couldn’t muster the combined talents of Ndiaye KDH Garner etc. to even have a shot against him.

The scenes at the end of their players swanning around our new stadium are just brushed off by him like it’s absolutely nothing. It absolutely kills the fans and he couldn’t care less. Probably getting a load of WhatsApps from Kenny and Souness telling him how well little old Everton did.

Any half way decent manager tells any Everton team heading into time added on (with our atrocious record against them in that time period) to kill the game. Get up out of his bucket seat and instruct the team to go to ground and run the clock down and preserve the point and the pride of the fans.

That divvy is rooted to the bench and does f.a.

He's failed Everton in derbies - he's unquestionably our worst (long term) tactical manager. He should be nowhere near that job but he is and the wallopers who own this club will likely reward him with more time here: which would be a massive slap in our faces.

You're waffling on about it being the owners decision and has Moyes achieved his goals.
The fans are allowed a say if the football is poor and we consistently don't turn up against the big 6.
Have some ambition instead of just accepting mid table
Who is accepting mid table 🤷‍♂️

I don't think you understand the post which was laid out pretty simple..

We went out of both cups to Sunderland at home and Wolves at first opportunity to PL teams.

Lost both derbies

Nil points or goals at Etihad, Emirates, Stamford Bridge

Horrendous home record at the new stadium.

One of the lowest scorers in the league once again.

100 mill wasted on players the manager won’t use in Barry Dibling Rohl Alcaraz Aznou

In a challenge for 7th place in a season when all of Chelsea Liverpool Spurs Newcastle Forest United have been by their own standards absolute toilet

Yet the noise out of all the players, manager, media at the club is that the season has been a huge success and the Everton DNA is back

What exactly have we done that can count as a success?

The highlight of the season is beating the worst Chelsea team I’ve ever seen in my entire life at home. A double over relegation threatened Forest, and a decent 90 minutes v Fulham at home.

That’s it.

I don't even necessarily disagree with that at all and think the table reflects that what ur saying is correct. Moyes will get the best out of an average team, that's really his whole thing.

We're at the start of a new project though. New stadium, new money, senior pro's being phased out and young players being bought. If we're trying to build a better team why would we not have that team be built by the person who is ultimately going to manage it in the long term.

If we expect Moyes to leave at the end of his contract anyway then what's the point of keeping him on another season and giving him the keys to the rebuild. By all accounts we're going to spend a fair wedge this summer, just doesn't make sense to me. Could be wrong but I don't really think Moyes would do a lot different if he did have a better squad tbh.

Spot on mate. This season has been appalling apart from a few unexpected away wins.

The PL is at a terribly all round low in terms of quality and to be 10th is borderline sacking offence IMO.

The feller is a 💩house in the cups and against Liverpool....basically all we have to look forward to he cant do...AT ALL.

We're the least well matched fanbase there could be for a surrender monkey like Moyes.

It's good we have 38 games then and are doing better than expected after inheriting an absolute mess from the previous managers.

Yeah why should Everton fans be bothered about winning the derby. What an absolutely crazy idea.

Just another game like any other out of the 38. Not even worth bothering to win because there’s another 36. Don’t know why we bothered with the Tifo, should have saved it for Brentford or Wolves.

As bad as Dyche was, he had 1 Derby at Goodison, and won it. 1. And it was against a much better Liverpool team than this one with a much worse Everton team. But they didn’t turn up like a gang of cowards that night.

I wouldn’t bet on Moyes winning a derby if he had another five years here.
what a shame about all those other games.

:/

nonsense.
