2025/26 David Moyes

I beg to differ. We were set up with Beto who can do what he does - bully their defenders and has got better at holding up the ball. So the team is set up that way. Barry can't offer that, so changing Barry for Beto was stupid. We were flagging in midfield and their defenders were rattled because Beto had been bullying them and Dewsbury Hall and Ndiaye were taking them on. Moyes should have changed the system to get the midfield shored up as Gueye and Garner were flagging.

Pickford

O'Brien Tarkowski Branthwaite (until he got injured) Mykolenko

Rohl Garner Iroegbunam Dewsbury Hall

Ndiaye George.

Let George and Ndiaye go looking for the ball, turn and drive at their defence. All we did was allow them to disrupt and control the game because our energy levels dropped. By shoring up midfield maybe the shot wouldn't have happened as he may have been closed down quicker.
George came on and was absolutely terrible

Cry harder it makes you a better blue.

We played alright today until Beto went off.

Anyone who can't see that and wants to make up that we sat back and didn't pretend to win can wallow in their misery.
'Cry harder' is a gimpy wool RS shout

I’m going to cry, mate. This losing-derbies routine is brutal, and I’ve got work tomorrow. Blame Barry all you want, and I’d agree, but it was Garner, who was clearly cramping up, who gave the ball away that lead to the corner. Tim might have come on and made a mistake too, but we’ll never know.

Started well, I thought we looked dreadful after the first goal went in. We came out for the second half really well and got the equaliser, but after that we just looked leggy. Once Rio and Frimpong came on they started getting in behind, and our midfield was beginning to get run straight through. If stating that is 'wollowing in misery' then you're just as deluded as the weird Dychettes on here who defended him no matter what.

The last 15 to 20 minutes is what got me, could have least tested the keeper a couple of times. People wonder why some blues are frustrated or cynical because we repeat the same negative traits time and again.

And it has to be said this managers record against them is a disgrace.

The thing I always go back to though is that he left for 10 years and the record actually got worse, so surely it says more about us as a club than Moyes as a manager.

We couldn't get the ball up the pitch and, when we did, it didn't stick. I've said in a previous post how their young keeper looked very suspect with...

... the ball at his feet - balls didn't reach their players. Yet, we didn't press at him as we did, let alone put him under pressure with shots.

What utter bollocks...We wanted to win that from the off.

It's not his fault Beto went off injured and the entire match changed because Barry is pants and George did nothing.

Iroegbunam coming in for Gana doesn't win us the match or stop us conceding a header from VVD off of a corner....

Pure nonsense

McNeil was on after half time
Gana was on his last legs at 75mins

Who do you blame or what do you blame for us not testing their 3rd choice keeper?

Why did we not make proactive changes?

Moyes has called them a "great team" and also said 3 times our players were "good/great". Do you agree?

George should have been on at h/t when beto was on. Iroegbunam for Gana too.

If those changes were made, who knows.

Barry is a Kroldrup.

I certainly didnt get the impression Moyes was going all out for the win beyond the 30th minute. Did you?

Stating facts = being negative when the Messiah is on the receiving end - he can do no wrong ever and must be backed 100% because we've had previous bad managers under a different owner

THIS...when you are off in hot weather training or have 3 weeks off in the middle season, why not sit down and have a plan B and C and D if, for example Beto needs substituting and you need to make a changexagainst two lumbering and tired CBs..
