You're spot on with this. We didn't do much wrong - they just have more quality than us. Liverpool were also proper switched on in a way they aren't when they play games like Brentford away. No silly mistakes from them today.

He should have brought on Alcaraz to run at them or Armstrong to add some bite to the midfield but he just sat back and allowed them to build momentum and then we all have to watch that finish.

Nonsense to blame him. Barry let him down today in a huge game. We were the better team when he came on, then he refused to make any runs into channels, barely won anything, and when he did gave it away cheaply. George for McNeil a decent attacking change, but actually didn’t improve us. If he hadn’t made that change he would have got slated. Had to bring Keane on.

What could he do? Take Jake off and put Dibling on as an extra forward and get battered. Why change our midfield, we were comfortable.

We just got suckered by a good corner and a strong header. Not everything needs to be blamed on someone

I honestly think we played pretty well overall. Just the issue when we need to switch things up we dont have anything. I knew Barry coming on was gonna hurt us so much because he doesn't put himself about anywhere near as much as Beto but because we try no one else up there its only him who can come on. Same in other positions. Our bench options are uninspiring cause they never get any real time. Maybe we could've had George upfront with Dibling on the wing but instead we do the same subs as always with the same impact.
