2025/26 David Moyes

For me today shows why Moyes isn't the right manager to take us to the next level. He did an amazing job steadying the ship and get us where we are now but this is basically what you get with him.

He knows how to set up a tough-to-break-down team and will get decent results. But he does lack a plan B and furthermore he doesn't know how to set up a positive minded team, who bring the game to the opponent.
lol do you remember what it was like before he came ….. HE IS TAKING US TO ANOTHER LEVEL how much do you think is possible in one season from the borrow show we were

Interesting take, I thought that’s exactly what we did against Chelsea only a few weeks ago?

Actually, I want Moyes given a 2 year extension.
Safe hands and year on year progress. Probably fuming at the great job he is doing.
Every Saturday is a complete bore fest. Win, lose or draw.
At least you are consistent

He;ll probably get it too because I dont get the impression the owners of this club see it as anything other than a cash machine they'll use before selling up.

Moyes being here guarantees PL status and they'll be satisfied with that.

We'll win f.a. though, Europe will be a bridge too far, and the football will be gash.

Against teams that have better players than us and play possession football he sets up really well as long as the scoreline is equal. He is basically clueless when we fall behind because there is no plan B.

Against teams that are waiting us out we are not able to dictate play since that's not his mindset.

As I said before, he did a great job getting us here but I don't see him taking us to the next level. The topteams all play a positive, possession game and that just isn't his style. Nothing wrong with that for midtable teams, but not enough fpr the topteams (in my humble opinion and I won't mind to be proven wrong 😉).

We fell behind twice today.

I did say he did a great job steadying the ship and getting us where we are. I also never said that the next step should be taken tomorrow. I just said that I don't think Moyes is the right man to do that since his gameplan is to negative for the topteams. I hope tk be proven wrong though.
