2025/26 David Moyes

It must be a strange state of mind to be in - logging on an hour before kick-off and already typing out the post-mortem. That’s the mood some fans find themselves in with David Moyes: frustration preloaded, substitutions questioned before they happen, the lineup treated like a personal slight. Our online fanbase contains some of the most demented "supporters" in football.
Just be happy mate, forget everything else for a moment.

That was 90mins of pure adrenaline.

A fantastic result.

I went way too early in my criticisms - a mistake I think a lot of us made.

He’s fantastic away but he has to change the home form, if he cannot I would still look at changing the manager in the summer.

Hope to be proved wrong like I was today.

Needs to follow this up with a win over Burnley now

I think we played well today and he generally set us up well, but he took too long with some of the subs and we sat back a tad too deep

They got lucky with their goals in fairness, but we allowed them into the raffle and you only need a couple of tickets to come in for a good prize haul

No. Quietly optimistic but with a sense caution on account of our home form and Burnley's improved performances recently.
We're Jekyll and Hyde. Magnificent away, atrocious at home. Moyes needs to find a better balance. Most of all, he needs to pick our better players in their best positions. That gives him a chance. Today is tremendous, but every chance we're on the rollercoaster again and Tuesday returns us to terra firma with a bump. Today was typical of our season to date. We have to hope Tuesday isn't. That cycle simply has to change - and for the better as this away form just cannot reasonably be expected to continue.
