Would you expect to see that £100m added to City's squad cost if he wasn't loaned out?
We currently 'own' the registration of a £100m player, so why would that not be included in our squad valuation?

You do need pace to get the ball back though. The cumulative total pace of the team is a massive problem at Everton. Even against average sides we struggle to press effectively because Grealish Gueye KDH McNeil have no real pace, and the back 4 without Branthwaite are perhaps the slowest in the league. You can’t therefore play a highline, which means massive gaps between defence and midfield, so then the midfield sits deep which is why we keep seeing the classic Everton formation of a lone striker and a number 10 behind them just chasing shadows whilst everyone else sits two banks of four behind the ball. Even if we win it back we can’t break out.
The top clubs in the league don’t buy many slow players. Yes it’s probably better to have an intelligent slow player than a headless chicken speedster, but if we want to push on we need players that have both. A big reason Moyes’s first team didn’t win anything is because great footballers like Arteta Osman Pienaar Baines could just easily get ran off the pitch by one of the top 4, especially away from home.
What will we get for them a bag of broken biscuits if we are lucky its over 100 million laid out ....
