2025/26 David Moyes

But they'd written the game off as one we couldn't win because "we have no players available".

Lol.
And thanks to David Moyes he pulled a rabbit out of the hat and galvanized what few players he had available to him to beat the 2nd placed team in the league at kick off.

I asked you earlier. Did Ndiaye and Gueye have a good match? KDH? How do you think Branthwaite played?

Oh they didn't play because they weren't....what's the word.... Available?

I'm delighted. Id be even more delighted if that divvy hadn't have thrown a load of points away lately and knocked us out of the cup.
You’re not delighted. There’s not a single part of you that’s delighted. You’re a liar and a troll. Bore off, this isn’t your night, but don’t worry, Everton will lose again in the near future and you can come and enjoy that, in the meantime stay in your lane.

I’ve not watched a second of it, but by all accounts Gana has been excellent in AFOCN. Let’s see, my overall point is that for all our injuries, suspensions and international breaks has hit us at the same time.
Definitely.

This has been a bigger test of our quite meagre squad than most of us would imagined we’d get all season. Some haven’t done much to further their cause, but others have played well enough not to lose their place immediately.

I fear that Moyes could destroy any momentum we have picked up from today, by dropping players who don’t deserve it, in favour of players who’ve done nothing (at club level - I’ve not watched Senegal at all this AFCON) to earn that place back.

Picking up results like that when some of our best players are returning very shortly *should* be cause for optimism but I’m a 43yo Evertonian. I don’t traffic in that nonsense.

Interesting you didn’t comment at all when we lost there last season from 2-0 up. Why was that? Because you liked the manager?

We're going in the right direction BUT we need to get there a bit quicker.

He's not going to change his approach at this stage and there's no reason that we can't get into Europe with this team (players back of course).
This is exactly it. Europe should NOT be out of the question this season. We have enough about the squad to achieve that. I'm not saying Europe or sack. I am saying we should be in the race for Europe until the last week. But the owners have to step up. Not spending this window is unacceptable - especially if they intend keeping the manager on in the summer. Back him or sack him.
