Well I put my hands up, I was a defender of Dyche. But now I have realised he is actually a very limited manager as lots of folk were saying. My answer was always well he has a crap group of players. But now look at this same group of players, Moyes has put a wrecking ball through Dyches tactics and management of the squad and it took him one game to get them playing miles better.
It must be a very hard watch for the old manager, but in expect he is pretty thick skinned and is blaming the players rather than himself for wearing the whole club down with his dire footballing style.

Yeah. I think it’s come with experience with him too. He’s seen it all before. The players in this squad can be fragile at times so probably best to put the arm around and coax a bit more out of them. Beats Dyche shrugging his shoulders and saying we’re terrible and he can’t change it after every game.
Have to say I don’t recall Moyes in the past being so…. sensitive. He seems to have really come in and put his arm around the whole squad.

I’m not quite sure what to make of it. He must’ve really changed and/or the squad was in the true depths of depression and shell shock.

Or maybe it says more about about Dyche 😅

Been thinking about Moyes and the difference he has made.
Basically he has given us some hope back.
Under Dyche we were constantly looking down to see what was behind us, (he did a fine job keeping us up last year)
This season I genuinely wasn't thinking we would get a result agaist anybody, which is just not me, anyone who knows me , will tell you I am daft
I normally think we are in with a chance agaist anybody even when you brain says otherwise.
,But this year i just honestly couldn't see any light at the end of the tunnel, the football was awful, the results were as well.
It looked like the players felt the same , game after game with hardly a shot on goal .
I know the bottom teams are rubbish but so we're we.
I wasn't a fan of getting Moyes back but ,I had come to the conclusion he was the right man to come in right now. When it became obvious Dyche was a busted flush.
He has well exceeded my expectations.
Feels like we are finally getting are club back as a credible Premier league club ,not a basket case swirling around the gutter every year.

I defended Dyche, and to a degree he was managing a different club.
Absent ownership, general malaise. There was a staleness around the club and the players.
He has been criticised for Saying he had a taken the team as far as he could, but in fairness that was a good admission. There was clearly no money in January to refresh the squad, so nothing would have changed. I still think a different manager could have made it worse. Moyes was evolutionary hire rather than a revolutionary choice.
A few tactical tweaks by Moyes while keeping to dyches strengths in defence. A different voice. And we have had a recipe to improve.
Been a great appointment so far.
We need a new players in summer though if we want the progress to continue. It won’t take long for these players to be worked out, and we don’t have players on the bench to cause the opposition scouting team any headaches

Give it 2 seasons mate and we'll be back in Europe. I'm absolutely certain given 2 years he'll have us playing European football again

Time is probably his biggest motivator now. He knows he will not be here too long under demanding ownership.

I'd always settle for slow but steady progress but Moyes is in more of a hurry I feel. That said, he has an air of calmness and assuredness which wasn't to the fore to the same degree as a younger manager. He has vast experience and is drawing on it.

More than a few tweaks mate. Not a chance in hell we've a defender in the oppositions box in the 77th minute under dyche. Actually scrap that. Not a chance in hell we've a defender in the oppositions half.
Its more than a few tweaks. Its a complete overhaul of attitude tactics morale...the list goes on.
You can see the players wants to play now.

Had huge resentment from this summer towards the previous team manager that quickly grew from its early season press conferences. Then could not see Moyes back, however by the time that cabal walked, would have taken anyone half decent and Moyes was good as any.

The squad of players inherited is the most balanced in seasons, little surprised at 7 unbeaten, not surprised we have pulled away from relegation with competent manager at the helm.

One of the best center back pairing in league when fit, one of the best goal keepers in Europe and tenacious engine in midfield with Gueye, is a solid foundation to play PremierLeague football from.
