Forrest we’re nearly relegated last season, and now there challenging for a CL place with the same players.
It’s not the same players got new players in and also made use of 2 very good loan signings who would walk into our team in ward prowse and moreno. TFG have already shown incompetence by having Dyche here beyond Xmas and wasting almost 2 weeks of the window without bringing anyone in. We can blame Dyche all we want but the truth is the players are also to blame Harrison, Lindstrom rubbish, Doucoure, Mykolenko rubbish DCL rubbish 3 RBs Neither good enough subs bench awful that’s all still here with Moyes he needs players in.

I'm on the fence with this appointment. Better than Dyche in the near term (three wins is just not acceptable) and a fairly solid choice to keep us up, but I just don't know that Moyes is the long term answer here.

The club statement made no mention of the contract length, although I see reports elsewhere of a two and one half year deal for Moyes. I was hoping for someone more...dynamic and progressive thinking in the long term. But perhaps this is what is needed to get us into the new stadium as a Premier League team. Hopefully we strengthen a bit in the window and Moyes can get the most out of this bunch. Up the Toffees.

I have stated on other threads I cannot stand Moyes for what he did before/when leaving and that will remain with me until my dying day ( which I hope is not too soon) but things are as they are now and he is certainly better than Dyche so onwards and upwards .
Would I have liked sommeone else, yes ,but not Potter so that leaves very few who would be available .So let's get behind the whole shabang and hope it is enough .COYB

It appears a number of people believe the club is living in the past with this appointment.

Such short-sighted rubbish.

I don't know about you, but I can't wait for Moist to have us playing knife-to-a-gunfight togger, with Beto running the channels. I just hope he adds Gary Neville's brother to the backroom staff, so he can tell the fans a club like Everton should be grateful for even being in the Premier League.

Now go get Wagner Love, Sean Davis and Jason Koumas, so we can be the best-of-the-rest once again.

What a manager!
We are nowhere near best of the rest. So to get there would be something. 2 years time we can review his position (if we stay up)

Who do you think we could attract. What decent manager would come to us? I think you are living in the past if you think we can attract any top name.

The vast majority outside our club place us along side clubs like those that are currently around us in the table. They place clubs like west ham above us. To think anything differently is deluded.
