Delighted for Moyes, delighted he's proving most of the pundits wrong, the pundits that were queuing up to question his style and question his appointment while at the same time praise the 'job' their mate Dyche was doing.

Everton at its best has the manager, the players and the fans singing on the same hymn sheet, Moyes has brought everything together again and given us Everton back again.

It just shows how limited as a manager Dyche was.

His philosophy was to frustrate teams with negative tactics then nick a goal and we needed that to survive. We leaked goals and he shored up that at the cost of goals which is how you win games.

Dyche not using Jake O'Brian all season is nothing short of a total F Up because he is a solid defender and when you consider how defensive of a manager he was.

I don't think Moyes has done anything miraculous, he had just come in and played football which suits us - on the floor, counter attacking and pressing.

His man management was one of the reasons Fergie wanted him at Man United and he will create a squad who will know how big Everton are.

A smart move bringing him in and I think 2 years will fly by. I hope we get the right sort of money injected into our squad with the best scouting.

There was a moment during the live tv coverage yesterday when the camera cut to Moyes deep in conversation with Leighton Baines. It felt more Everton than Dyche and Woan and Stone scratching their heads.
One scotch egg and two boiled eggs with about as much football knowledge as well.............................one scotch egg and two boiled eggs.

Imagine if we'd got him instead of that Fat Spanish Waiter. 🤷

feel like that may have been too early, and going from carlo to moyes at the time would have felt a huge step back, maybe we would have kicked on like West Ham did under moyes but if we’d finished mid table around then there would have been a lot of ire and disillusionment considering we’d just had one of the best managers in the modern era coaching us. of course the reality is we survived by the skin of our teeth so mid table would have been fantastic in comparison but at the time relegation wasnt a concern until Rafael dragged us down there

last few years have been brutal but it’s given me, and i reckon a good few others, a reality check and perspective on football, and how perilously close this club can come to the brink of destruction, that finishing 8th under marco silva is actually something to really enjoy not to be bored by. I think Moyes coming in now, turning us around at our dullest ebb, with the joy sucked out of everything following years of being beaten into submission, makes all of this the more sweeter. And him being in charge for Goodison’s swan-song and the opening of Bramley-Moore Dock is a beautiful story.

I see a trophy in the second season, followed by some glorious European nights in the third.
