Jags, lescott, captain finger, carsley, yak

The opposite end of the scale:
Billy, beattie, kroldrop, kilbane, li tie, simon davies, upson.

Billy was decent not good but not bad either.

Upson we signed on a free he looked good then a Turkish team came in after transfer deadline and bought him off us for over a million. Hows he mdae that list?

Considering this was during a time period where our chairman went on live tv saying how happy it is we got a fa cup replay because it ment we could now afford a loan. It sounded like a fantastic deal with upson

Fonseca uses a low block and lots of people wanted him.

We used a low block under dyche and had the 6th best defence in the league, forest uses it as well and has the 2nd best defence in the league.

So its not a thing of the past like. Its just when you dont have a working attack
Even in a low block Forest tend to engage higher up the pitch than Moyes (not by much, but still). Teams that play the low block are eventually found out.

On Moyes, I've often said of his tenure here that if I could go back in time and be told the 11 years we had under him would I take it, I'd have said no.

I'd say the same now, I wouldn't sign up for another 11 years of what he delivered before.

Sure, it's better than now. A lot better.

But you've got to have some hope in football.

I've spent years preaching pragmatism and having to take our medicine - but all that was on knowing we had a new stadium coming, with new owners and new manager to give us a real jolt in the right direction from the summer. Better times were coming, we just had to get through.

For us to go back to Moyes on a 2.5 year contract, and heralding his 11 years of 'success' - if that's success, then what's the point?

I think we of all clubs can be a little entitled for once - and it feels like we've just kicked the can further down the road.

I just hope we have someone lined up in the summer who can unite the fans, and bring us some hope.

“we just had to get through”

said if yourself mate. we wasn’t under dyche -

so TFG have had to change the original plan

2,3,15, year deal they mean jot

TFG can and will get rid when they want and we’re in a better place

Were you hoping another manager would come in and have us suddenly challenging for the league?

I think he's a better manager now than the one we had.

He fell into the trap of parroting kenwright's tripe about us being grateful for just existing. That's all gone now and we can hopefully operate as a competent business with a competent manager.

Kenny Moyes will be rubbing his hands...loads of contracts for him from Wor Davie.

Ker-ching. The stink of corruption back.

It's always important to have as many Scotsmen as possible involved at Everton

I noticed Nathan got a game the other day

Maybe Moyes can sign Big Dunc as our new centre-forward

Haggis, deep-fried Mars Bars and Irn Bru in the pie shop

Braw!

I'd say 11 years of relative stability - not success.
Basically oiling Kenwights plaything on a shoestring.

If its a contract to 2027, then I think the only way Moyes is replaced is if we get relegated

Just don't see any way we stay up and he is sacked and we have a 2 year contract to pay out. The following season I could see a change in the summer because demands would be much higher.

He, and us would have been an idiot to think he could/would take 6 month.

It's why we had to sack Dyche, you can't have an interim manager in a relegation scrap. Players just won't react to them.

Allardyce was always interim until Silva was available that summer but had a contract which didn't give the game away. I hope it's the same with Moyes, but then I don't think so. I think our ambitions and hopes with TFG need to be pulled back in. Moyes is a TFG reality check.

Yeah, same, and compared to being relegated and liquidated it is successful.

Compared to actually winning something it's the definition of mediocrity, on a good day.
Well in a world where we're fighting relegation and our only trophy in the last 35 years is the FA Cup in 1995, we probably have to accept that european qualification, top 5 finishes, FA Cup finals etc. do represent success for us.

I'd love that to change but for now I'd love him to get us back to competing in the top half of the table consistently.

“none of us know”
