I think its interesting that Martinez says he will join the U21 group, what we are missing here is a change in our overall structure. Previously we have seen the youths, reserves/U21's fall of a cliff developmentally - Martinez is approaching this age group differently, really modelling that group on what going on in the first team and creating a natural progression. Hes already identified that age of 19 - 23 as stagnent in terms of coaching and development in England. I think hes completly changed the coaching, structure and philosphey of this team and as can be seen by this signing rather then "if your good enough, youl make it approach" to another phase of "progression" that doesnt see young professionals fall of a cliff, rather have a clear path way to first team oppurtunites.

We're doing something very different and hopefully special in our to other teams in this age group.
