David Henen

We wanted to buy him, anderlect quoted us a price we thought was far too high, 2-3m iirc.

In a somewhat dodgy deal Olympiakos then brought Henen and immediately loaned him to us on a one year deal. There apparently was a buyout clause of ~250k which we appear to be exercising.

No. He spent the entire summer window training with our youth teams, but we couldn't come to terms with Anderlecht. Ultimately he was sold to Olympiakos at the deadline, who immediately loaned him to us with an option to buy.

To be honest, I was kind of hoping for similar shenanigans this time around. That was by far the most entertaining story of last summer's window for me.
Thanks guys.

I had thought we had him but was lacking those details.

His sisters sound

He worked hard and performed well for the U21s and clearly has a bit of of talent but few lads ever make the step up.

However he is clearly made up to be signing for us permanently and we have got him extremely cheap.

How about we just leave him to improve his game and find his own level rather than setting ridiculous expectations on the lad?

Why stop at Lallana, he has a chance to be better than Pele as well then.

I Used lallana as an example.

Obviously there is some chance but I would take Lallana 99% of the time rather than gamble on Henen's potential.

ok mate, wheres the clubs 25 million for a player like him? that is my point, we cant afford to buy a lallana, so therefore i would take a henan who could potentially be a fantastic player over signing english players with huge price tags but nothing to back that up

i wouldn't even want lallana for 15m, so overrated

I hope we see him in the first team occasionally or as an alternative option off the bench. Would be an unpredictable element for some defences to cope with, and could rotate with Del when both of them eventually sign.

Everyone in the youth system raves over him and he scored a good amount of goals for the U21s/reserve squad last year. I reckon we'll be seeing him involved in the first team this year. Would like it if we jibbed of Kone, signed a solid back up and use Henen as 3rd choice.
