I would keep him, he gets his head up and moves the Ballotelli forward. If we had him putting passes into the channels for Lukaku to run onto or picking out diagonal passes into wingers we could hurt teams. If he can't be made fit then we need a replacement who will switch defence into attack with a pass.

He must be a magician if he can make that lazy get move anywhere!!! :D

Really hope we get a fit gibbo for a whole season, but I've heard rather often that the bloke doesn't take care of himself very well. Class act when fit, would love to see him clock up 30 odd games this year.

can't wait for him to get fit for a game and a half, then get injured and miss the rest of the season as we pay him 50k a week.

Get rid, allow him to train with us until he finds a new club.

Makes no sense at all. We can't simply "get rid" without handing him a massive payoff. Even then, he'd still have to accept the payoff.

EDIT: Oh, and no way Gibson is on 50k a week. No chance.

can release him from his contract, with a year left it'd be a better investment to release him then to keep paying a injured player.

Or when fit just let him go to someone for a small fee.

Oh and by the way, he absolutely is on the 40-50k mark.

Rejected 50k from sunderland alone.

It was reported at the time, Gibson had signed on for 30k a week. The contract included a clause increasing his salary by 1k a week per yr... i.e a 52k increase per annum

you do realise 'releasing' a player isn't free don't you??
you do have to pay up the remainder of the contract so it costs the same as keeping them anyway.
The only time it doesn't is if the Players wants out and they forgo some or all of that money to make it worth the while of the Club to let them go.

yes.. i understand how releasing a player works mate.

Would love him to be fit enough to play the important role he's befit of.

Unfortunately his injury record is abismal and I don't see it improving much. Based on that I'd be looking to move him on if someone offered us any cash. Shame!
