Given that we allegedly don't have a pot to piss in, it would be criminal to sqaunder money on a guy who is never fit to play

It'll be interesting to see what his level of fitness will be like when he's playing for a new contract, here or elsewhere.

Criminal getting rid of a player in his prime for nothing, then buying a replacement who is only half as good and we're still paying him the same. His wages won't be huge, if he gets fit he's worth every penny.

Our best midfielder when fit, still young - worth a new deal. Hopefully he will keep fit and have a good season.

Nearly 29 when this current contract he has ends, so not exactly young - especially for a player with so many injuries as they tend to age prematurely
If it looks like a dog, barks like a dog and bites like a dog - it's normally a dog mate, same can be said about Gibson staying fit, just isn't gonna happen

He is a dog that is boss at passing

Maybe a bit off topic, but does the club get any refund when players like Gibson is injuries for a long time? Like from an insurance or is it just paying his salary as if he where playing?

I thought i'd accidentally smoked some grade A crack and fallen asleep reading some of the posts in this thread. Our best midfielder, ffs

The guy has played about ten minutes in the past three years, any judgement on his ability is hard to make, never mind calling him our 'best' or 'most complete' midfielder.

Mad.

BUT LAD, HE PLAYED A FORWARD PASS ONCE

got to be on the pitch to be our best midfield player and sadly he doesn't manage that, very surprised unless there's been a significant improvement in his fitness,I thought last year was his make or break season and it wasn't exactly a roaring success
