I was shocked this morning not because it sounds like he is sadly injured again or on the cusp of injury but that he is 30. How many appearances has he got?
 

I think he's looked a little bit sluggish to be honest in the short time he's had on the pitch this season

I know that's probably to be expected like after so long out. I did rate him highly before the injury.

We went unbeaten with him in the side for quite a while when he first signed if I remember correctly

That was sloppy reporting by the BBC. They linked to an article from the Irish Independent which talked about Glenn Whelan and Gibson possibly missing the upcoming Ireland game. It said Whelan was 30 not Gibson but the BBC got it @rseways
 
I would like to see Gibson back and playing. If this is a bad injury I would start to get concerned. Hopefully it is nothing and pulling out of the international is a precautionary measure. Where has Kone gone.

Ah cheers, my fault for not double checking those crazy fools. For a moment I thought both myself and Gibson had had 5 years stolen from us.

I don't think we should sell gibbo ,if anything happens to barry or macca we only have besic ,who from what I can see the manager isn't 100% with yet (looks like getting carded every time he plays). Maybe when besic settles gibbo will be let go

Martinez said in the press conference today that it isn't an injury and that he expected him to train as normal today. He hasn't pulled out of the international squad, that squad is finalised next Sunday.

Lads, let's give him a chance to actually get injured.
