For 1 million i wouldnt complain for 2million im not too sure.
Maybe With regular playing time week in week out he may come good?
Not world class but certainly good enough for us.
Hes not afraid to shoot and at the minute any attempts on target for us is positive.
 

Technically he's got all the attributes, have concerns that he's not shown enough at Man Utd to be given an opportunity. This may be because he's been angling for a move away and has incurred SAF's wrath. I genuinely think that given an opportunity he could shine.

However you look at it, it's certainly a better solution than fielding a central midfield pair of Neville and Heitinga, which should never ever happen again.
 
He'd be an awful signing IMO. Every time I've seen him play, both for Man Utd and Ireland, he's been utter garbage. The myth about him having a good long shot on him needs to be stamped out as well. Shooting every time you're within 30 yards of goal and having the odd one fluke its way in doesn't make you good at it. His goalscoring record is awful for a reason -- 99% of his efforts make it look like he's seen somebody he doesn't like in the crowd.
 

Well if he can't cut it in a dwindling midfield, that has had to pull Scholes out retirement. Then I really can't see him cutting it anywhere.

Let's hope I'm wrong, as it does look like he's coming
 
Forget Rodwell, for me the player utd crave is Fellaini. I can see this Gibson deal being a sweetener on that. If Fergie wasnt interested in Fellaini then it would be a derelication of duty

hes not creative, slow, not strong, low work rate, no drive, goes missing...

Every other midfielder we have at least has a attribute to make them a central midfielder. Gisbson has a shot...and we rarely shoot from long range.

Panic buy due to injuries.
