I have lots of sympathy for his issues with alcohol. He deserves help because it's a terrible addiction.

But I have absolutely no sympathy for him when he always takes his car with him when he's on the lash. There's no excuse, it's not acceptable, and he needs locked up for a period to see if it teaches him a lesson. Because he doesn't seem to care.
