F all this problem BS. He's made a conscious decision to be out drinking and take his car, again. He's an eejit and needs to be sent down.
Has it been confirmed there was drink involved? If there was then Jesus Christ, the man needs locking up for his own good. And even if there wasn't it's still hard to have any sympathy for him, the man is incapable of just getting his head down and ensuring he's on the back pages and not the front.
A player who had a lot of talent and could have been a key player for a big club, whether it was United, us or someone else. Instead he's wallowing at a club about to go down to League 1 where even there he's viewed as a pariah. From a humanity point of view I hope he can get his life together and be happy and healthy like Van Der Meyde seems to have done but he'll no doubt look back and realise how much he threw away.
