and Bar England has done a good job wherever he has been unlike Martinez.

Blimey, I didn't realise we were at the stage of rewriting history about Martinez.

Martinez - has managed 3 clubs in a 7 year managerial career thus far.

Swansea - won the League One title, established the foundations for their later success.

Wigan - kept them up for 3 seasons and won them the only trophy in their history, beating the league runners up in the final.

Everton - in his first season, achieved the clubs highest points total for 27 years and highest number of wins in a season for 27 years. Led them into Europe for the first time in 5 years, and past the first round in Europe for only the 3rd time in 19 years.

To say Martinez has 'not done a good job wherever he has been' is complete bullshit, even if you think he's doing poorly now.

Ha,see its that time to make a story up again,as we are not doing well at present, who will whatever paper have us as selling next then i wonder

No mention of Wigans relegation and a truly awful first half of the season performance at Everton and you accuse me or re-writing history

For the Record, and we know this story is a load of crap, but why is a very good/brilliant/excellent boss etc never linked with Everton, when these type of stories come up

That's not rewriting history, that's just excluding the negative things you want to focus on.

Yes, we've had a terrible first half of the season.

But we've been here before - where would Everton be if they'd sacked Moyes in May 2004, or in December 2005, or in October 2008?

As for Wigan's relegation, nobody harped on about Joe Royle getting Oldham relegated (after keeping them up for years like Martinez did with Wigan) in May 1994 & getting the Everton job 5 months later.

When you said McClaren had done well unlike Martinez there was obviously a clear reference to our poor form this season and Wigan's relegation. Needed pointing out the things he has done well.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, they really do hate us dont they.

Common sense tells you at the very least kenwright is to tight to pay the several million it'll take to pay off roberto

Because the media have pigeonholed us and we're not allowed to have nice things.

If we have great players, they're constantly on the verge of sale, even if they signed a new contract 5 minutes ago.

If we have a manager doing well, then he's in line to be the next Arsenal or England manager.

If cash strapped Everton sign a £28m striker, then said striker was only sold to Everton because he supposedly has an appalling attitude.

The media tell lies about us, more than any other club, because it is their way of trying to maintain the status quo.
