Impressive from Sky. Looks like Quintana is no threat at all this year, with a couple more like Fuglsang also out of the frame. Porte and Aru looked decent though.

Nice story yesterday that ITV4 have the legendary TdF rider Philippa York joining their commentary team. First english-speaking rider to win the KoM jersey and pipped at the post for the Vuelta under nefarious circumstances - been out of the public eye for a long time.

Quite a heavyweight commentary team they've put together. It's a shame they only cover the Tour and not some of the other races in the year.

Or you could alternatively say that they simply had the best riders. Armstrong was an undoubted turd, but he had riders like Heras, Landis, Hamilton, Beltran, Savoldelli et al as domestiques. Just as the support riders for Froome would be leaders on other teams, so too would most of Armstrong's support team.
I must say I find it odd however that you seem to deride US Postal whilst having a rider who to shot to prominence on US Postal under Bruneeyl.
