Cycling thread

It has finally been established beyond doubt that Sagan got caught in the jacket:

Interview with the Dutch guy to whom the jacket belonged: http://www.ad.nl/wielrennen/sagan-v...nderen-door-jasje-bas-uit-geesteren~a79eebe6/ .

Sagan isn't angry at the guy and doesn't ask for special measures for next year. He says it's part of cycling and that he could have been a bit more careful but sometimes you have to take risks as a rider. He is also of the opinion that measures wouldn't be good for the atmosphere. Very good of him.

Ironically somebody fell on the same place last year, also because of a jacket.

Oh I was correct about Renshaw; he broke his ankle.

Poor Naessen. Race already almost over for him. Fall gets back and then a puncture. Durbridge fell two times.

Also every year the same, because some teams have to start you get loads of riders who aren't capable to ride such classics and are dangerous. Must also be hell if they make you ride such a race.

Given the nature of the race I do feel the organisers could do a better job of informing viewers of where riders are.

GvA has crashed and off the back.

You should watch Sporza mate; the feed not the live broadcast (that's in Dutch entirely; the feed is with pictures. Even though the broadcast is better).

There you'll learn that Rowe is essentially race over. Stannard had a puncture. Terpstra out (very bad fall). ...
