He's in a great position. If he wins, then Wallaeys and Dillier are in for some sort of financial compensation.

I wonder if hes offered to split his winnings?

Not long to go if theyre going to haul him back.

Probably always happens.

Unless your an arse like De Vlaeminck (and some others). He regularly promised people money and didn't deliver. Like in 1977 in de Rvv; in those days you weren't allowed to switch bikes (doing so resulted in a DQ). Maertens borrowed a bike from a spectator (he had an issue) and had to leave the race, but he refused. He basically rode to the finish line with De Vlaeminck in his wheel. Apparently De Vlaeminck had promised him 300 000 franks; he never paid him.

Would be quite a sensation if Dillier beats him in the sprint. Don't forget he has a history as a track racer.

Oh well good win Sagan, well deserved.

The other ones gave him +- 40 seconds when he attacked; quite strange that.

Always a bad move in PR because by 50-60km out the group is usually whittled down so much that there aren't really domestiques left to chase, and favourites can often look at each other rather than chase, so the attacker pulls out a lot of time.

I always find loanwords a bit strange in English. I’d like to see the introduction of the term chasse patate.
