That both Ineos and Jumbo had domestiques left with them doesn't suggest it was that high. Quite a few teams had multiple riders in the lead group, which shouldn't be the case if they were really gunning it. We'll see what happens over the weekend I suppose, but it's been a damp squid so far.
Super domestiques !

Pinot dropped. Could lose a lot of time here and must be Tour over.

Lol at ITV missing what was happening because they were interviewing Tom Pidcock on the first HC climb of the Tour.

Some amazing scenery on display in the Tour as always, but I reckon I have it topped - yesterday I drove 3 hours to ride 20 and a bit minutes on the A41 Tring bypass!

Missed the Tour in doing so, but the event went well - time trial on a very fast course. My local stuff is quite slow and technical in TT terms, which is good as it's challenging and keeps things interesting. But it's nice every once in a while to just ride something plain fast, basically here's some flat tarmac, how aero can you get and how fast can you go?

Decent mini-season in the end, did quite a few events in August. Really showed which cycling clubs were serious about the sport as putting on events was a huge amount of hassle but a few stepped up and got it done.

not sure if this is allowed but my nephew's best friend needs some urgent treatment that isn't available to him in the UK and in order to privately raise the funds (£120k) there have been a few events, including shirt auctions, two of the shirts are cycling related, donated by team Ineos and signed by people you will know but I don't, I hope I am OK putting the links up to the auctions., @GrandOldTeam. Poor lad is a Liverpool fan so there are a few RS related items that will make your eyes hurt.

Pidcock seems to have bossed the Baby Giro.
Good to see him riding strong in the big mountains - great win.

Fun stage today in the Tour - really thought Hirschi was going to pull it off in the sprint, heroic effort. Strange-looking bars on his cervelo, is that a new road trend? Roglic looking in really excellent condition - a lot of miles left to be ridden but he's looking well set.
