Unbelievable :(

Don't get too down.

Still an exciting Giro ahead, although it looks like an easy win for Quintana if what he says is true (that he'll only be at his best in the third week) - everybody expected that much anyway. As usual Nibali will do something crazy in the third week. Dumoulin will take pink the day after tomorrow and will then probably have an off-day somewhere in the third week. I also expect something from Pinot, always liked him.

Quintana would probably have won anyway, but he should win because of his talents not because of a daft policeman stood in a crazy place.

As terrible as it was sometime team sky's tactics and naivety are beyond belief.

Why would you have both of your gc guys on the very left of the peloton??

Why would they position themselves to avoid a policeman stopped by the side of the road? Granted, you could say that they should have been nearer the front, but they can't be blamed for a moto yet again causing a crash.

Yep but that's cycling (and life in general), sometimes something like that happens. No use getting angry about it.

Motors are needed to organize races and they are driven by humans so mistakes will occur. There's little you can do about it; they already get education how to avoid such stupidities et al.

@arminisgod You can hardly blame Sky here. They are forming a train, like most other GC formations (see Movistar et al). It wouldn't be logical to split your forces.

Decending down windy steep roads worries me.. the riders are faster than the tv motorbikes, who have to take risks to keep in front. imagine the carnage if the lead motorbike crashed.. It would create a huge road block to 100 riders going 60mph+

I just can't believe you'd have one of the faves for the gc at the side of a road when everybody knows things can happen there
