Looks like he's peaked - reckon he can still win if things go his way, but we've seen the last of the man who could just lay down the law and win from a bad position.That's two stages that Cavendish has kinda ballsed up now. Are we seeing the end of him as a serious contender in the sprints?

Superb stuff. Great to see Cavendish back on the top step of the podium. On a side note, Sagan has had a ridiculous number of 2nd place finishes in the tour. I think he's been 2nd something like 20 times in stages to go with his 4 wins.

Despite this, and despite all his previous Tour green jerseys - I just can't bring myself to rate him for some irrational reason.![]()
Bit of a nearly man isn't he? He burst onto the scene looking as though he'd sweep all before him, but hasn't really done that yet. He's yet to achieve a break through in the classics and despite his consistency at GT level isn't a heavy duty stage winner. He's just incredibly consistent.
