Who wins it then?? Knowing what we already know from here??!

Still think nibali will challenge. One to look out for is van garderen... but I think its froome is looking like he did in 2013
 

IMO its between Froome and Quintana, TVG is in good form but over 3 weeks I don't think he's got what it takes.

Were going to know alot more after the first mountain stage. Has froome pushed too hard too early?? Will quintana come good? Contador always dangerous.

I am what you would call a Sky hater more than a Sky believer. As someone who has been part of cycling forums for years and who read like thousands of cycling articles, stories, watched pretty much all WT and higher-rated pro-conti and continental races in last 10 years, I can't support a team like that. Their philosophy, the way they race, all affairs they've been part of, including doping, in just couple of years, all these riders they pretty much "destroyed" just make you compare them with City, PSG and such teams in football. Yeah, they usually win and that brings satisfaction to all these (no offence to anyone, but most of you) British cycling followers, but they are simply not a likeable team. And that's not just mine opinion, but ALOT of other cycling supporters all around the world.

To clear this part up, I don't think there are (m)any clean riders in the peloton. It's just how strong team and medias you have behind a project (and Sky really has that) and how far are you prepared to go in order to risk your career and life after all. I am now just getting way too far, so I'm going to stop.

EDIT: A casual fan of cycling will probably think I am just making this [Poor language removed] up and most of this is just another conspiracy theory and bullshit, but once you get into it a bit more, you can see what truth really looks like. And it's pretty sad seeing what cycling had come to.

Do you believe sky riders use peds? Ive always questioned them. Is dave brailsford a fraud??

Also, team skys wins in the tour arent too far off the times set by superhuman lance armstrong. Is this at all possible by just using different training methods and machinery, marginal gains as dave puts it?

....you know much more than me but as a sports fan I really enjoy watching the tour and prefer to take a view that Sky (and others) are clean unless proven otherwise.
 
Nibali is fascinating. He was either [Poor language removed] or bust in the Dauphine, and at times this past week has looked like he might put a dig in before falling back. It's hard to see him challenging, but fascinating to see Astana yet to come to the fore at all. They were absolutely all over the Giro like a rash, yet have been conspicuous by their absence thus far. The cynic in me says that might be because they were told not to try that crap at the Tour, as given their recent past + Vino at the helm doesn't exactly exude trust in their methods.

As for the rest, Quintana has been very quiet thus far, Contador has looked gutsy without really having that edge you feel he'll need and Froome has looked really strong thus far. Of the rest, the likes of TJ have looked strong, and Uran too, but you suspect both will have an off day in the mountains at some point and lose significant time.

If Sky have a good TTT today then it really is there's to lose, and it's hard to see the others putting enough time into him to claw it back. For me, their biggest danger was always the first week, so for them to get through that with the yellow jersey is about as good a result as they could have hoped for.
 
Very strong performance by Sky again there, and particularly from Froome. Is it too early to say that's the race over? I just can't see anyone getting that amount of time out of him in the mountains.

Cycling isn't clean, but is certainly cleaner, a lot cleaner than what it was. A lot of the forums hate for sky has been borne out of their favourite riders getting their arses handed to them, not least Contador in 2013. Everyone goes on about Froomes "mutant" attack on Ventoux: he climbed Ventoux slower than a chunk of riders from 2009, including the likes of Wiggins and Kreuziger, who are hardly Pantani. Not to mention that was the only climb of the stage so he would have been fresher, and the 2009 one was climbed later in the tour, so in reality they should have been more fatigued. A lot of it comes down to Froome and how he looks, because when he attacks it looks crazy because of his gangly style, as well as Sky not being universally liked for riding to numbers etc.
