Cutting Your Own Hair.

Has anyone ever done it ?

I've got a set of those lecky clippers and i fancy getting rid of my flowing locks for a # 2 or a skinhead if it goes tits up ! I'm a bit nervous about attempting it as i don't want a head like De Niro in Taxi Driver.

So what i want to know is, is it easy or a minefield ?

i have, rechargeable ones are best as theres no wire to get in the way, really wish i hadn't done it now though as i seem to have reached an age where it doesn't grow, except eyebrows, ears and nose. i had a very distinctive barnet and have in the past been referred to as Valderama, yahoo serious etc i think if i hadn't shaved it i would probably be at bit gascoignesque when he had the weave at lazio, or dog the bounty hunter.

I have only recently stopped cutting my own hair.

I used to grab a bag full of elastic bands and make tiny little bunches all over my head. Then just trim off the top of each bunch, release the elastic and et voila!

Instant mentalist head.

This was at the time I had multi coloured hair and hung around with cool goth chicks, I'd just look an idiot now...... (even more so)

Easy mate, Iv been shaving my own head since i was 13/14. Pretty impossible to fukk it up.

Nowadays i use a Mac 3 razor an have a head like kojak.

[Poor language removed] it, i'll go for it, i'll neck a bottle of red wine later then plug the fuckers in and see what i end up with . I've never been bald though if it gives people a laugh then why not.

Tis easy son, just keep goign with the clippers until you cant hear any more hair being hoovered up.

You may need to get someone to trim the whispy bits on the back of your neck though.

Do it without the add-on things, essentially a '0'. I do mine all the time and it's easy. Takes me about 5 minutes and looks pretty cool.

I once let my daughter do it, oh calamity. Make sure you check that little bit right at the back Vim, it is always there, it looks at you pulling tongues. You could try and use the Everton barber across the road from the Coach and Horses in Maghull, rabid blue as they come and does a fine hair do for a fiver (y)

I usually use the barbers that's just under the bridge in the Old Roan but each time i go there i'm waiting up to 45 minutes for these quegs with spikey hair to get their hair gelled, so i invested in these clippers, and tonight's the night, it can be my tribute to Lee Carsley, especially on his special day.
