The CA forum has be awash with negativity and rightfully so. From covid to the war in Ukraine to inflation etc etc.

Is this the new world? Should we be expecting a yearly political scandal that rocks the world? Or is there a happy future for one and all?

What is there to be positive about in the world of current affairs?

I’ll start.

Was thinking earlier that history will look back at these last few years and think "poor sods" as many did over those who lived during the blitz etc.

Tough one. Let's see, the Democrats probably hold the Senate because the Republicans had the twin genius ideas to run Mehmet Oz and Herschel Walker, of all people. The Republicans probably win the House, but Kevin McCarthy is probably going to have to run everything he ever does past Marjorie Taylor Greene due to having a slim majority, and that couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

And, of course, no one is actually going to feel the impending economic pain because Putin is going to nuke the Earth until it glows.

A few countries eg Usa, Australia have been moving away from the right wing extremists in the past few years. Italy has obviously not been paying attention and is hopefully a one off, but I think there is a general move away from leaders that promote hate and division
