Don't usually watch American comedy and I’d never heard of him until I saw the pilot

episode a few weeks ago. Can't believe what a brilliant show I've been missing, a real

hoot and right up my street. It’s being re-run on Sky Atlantic, seen 6 episodes and I’m

truly hooked. Think it's now on series 8 so I’ve gotta a lot of catching up to do.

Yep, I thought seasons 1 - 5 were absolutely brilliant but felt the last few were a little tired. People were reacting to him in totally ridiculous ways rather than David digging himself deeper and deeper as he usually did originally.

Still very good and better than most stuff around though, it must be almost impossible to keep such a high standard for so long.

For similar sociopathic comedy check out Eastbound and Down, you'll probably enjoy.

Big curb fan here. I see what you're saying Heat, but I thought the adopted african american family really freshened it up. The black guy and larry make one of the most hilarious and incompatible duos in TV comedy I've ever seen.

Class show, anyway. Eastbound is also ace. Season 2 (in Mexico) was even better imo. And if you like them, i'd always recommend Party Down too. It only had 2 seasons but was American comedy at its best. And Arrested Development... If you've never seen that then do yourself a favour and watch it!!

Beat me to it, I prefer David's writing to his acting any day of the week, Curb Your Enthusiasm does very little for me to be honest.

Definitely. Although Partridge gets away with it too, to the extent that I actually had to check that it did have a laughter track just now.
