I barely know anything about the guy other than the headlines. I've seen him in some debates around free speech and while somewhat inconsistent, nothing too ridiculous.

That tweet is bafflingly mad - I mean, its not as if beauty being in the eye of the beholder is a well-known saying or anything.

A normal human being could, entirely reasonably and without anyone having any kind of pop, have said "I don't find her attractive". He isn't a normal human being though and therefore he gets to define beauty as a constant, universal thing that applies to everyone (in the face of a few thousand years of global philosophical, social and religious output saying otherwise).
