"pregnant people" no less.

It is an awful shame project 'anti vax' doesn't only impact same practitioners.
I reckon it's possibly to do with my son's school, too. I would be very interested to know where the outbreak is. It was a Steiner school before he went there, and a lot of the parents are completely insufferable woo types. A couple of years ago, my son, who had respiratory issues when he was younger, came home the day before flu vaccines were due, really upset because some kid told him in the playground that he would die if he had the vaccine. Thankfully, us and his teachers were able to talk him round. On vaccine day, 14 of his classmates were kept at home. These people wind me off the clock.

I have no idea what these are.

A few years ago some maniac spouted off that the MMR jab was causing autism in kids, it was debunked quite quick but the lasting harm that idea has spread is still impacting today. I suppose the thalidomide scandal and the tainted blood scandal and subsequent cover up has had a long term detrimental effect in that faith in medicine has been eroded. A certain governments announcement re "the people of this country have had enough of experts" and then the jingoism of the permatanned fatsuma and his blame game around covid and his big ideas for bleach have just made people tune out.
Sadly the stupid don't realise that herd immunity is only achieved if everyone that can is vaccined and then are part of the herd. To protect the young, elderly and vulnerable in between. An attitude issue. It's the alright Jacks as usual, its as if a decadely polio outbreak is required to remind all to toe the line.

I know. This subject is quite close to.my heart. Vaccination is one of the miracles and biggest successes of modern medicine. It is a stupid position taken by overprivileged and selfish westerners. Andrew Wakefield (maniac is far too kind) is one of the worst people alive.

"Woo" is like people who are into healing crystals, aligning chakras, all that sort of stuff. 'Mystical energy' types. I briefly dated a girl who was a teacher at a Steiner School. I'd never heard of it at the time but it seemed all very 'alternative lifestyle' for the sort of wayward souls that drift down towards the South West, to keep their kids away from mainstream education.

Unfortunately some of the tendrils of the current grifty movements are capturing these people too, seems via vaccine anxiety. Fair few ex-hippies in MAGA for example. Seems unlikely but it's happening, there are all sorts of pathways into the madness these days.

I see, thanks for the info.

@foreverWoo1878 in plain sight then.

There really needs to be a slight reform in civil law that would allow someone who was financially or medically affected by following advice online can sue those responsible for the advice.
